Another accolade was again bestowed to Dr. Ernesto S. de Castro, the Chairman of Multi-Disciplinary Institute of Technology, Inc. This time, he was recognized by the Philippine Federation of Professional Associations (PFPA) with a Distinction Award for the Civil Engineering Profession.
As a Distinction Awardee, Dr. De Castro will also have a chance to be nominated to the 10th PFPA Excellence Awards to be held at the UP Bahay ng Alumni, Diliman, Quezon City on February 24, 2023. He, along with other Distinction Awardees, will be conferred with the PFPA Distinction Medallion and Certificate during the event hosted by the PFPA and attended by members and officers of the different member-organization of the association.
The prestigious award is given to professionals who have shown exemplary achievements and contributions through his profession not only to the local community but to an international level as well. The impact of which greatly influence the advancement of the profession.
Dr. De Castro has been continuously at the forefront of advocating the use of digital technological tools in the Architecture, Engineering and Construction sector which have earned him the monicker “MR. BIM” from his peers. He has been vocal about his vision to make the Filipino engineering professionals a center of excellence recognized not just in the Philippines but in other countries as well.
