The Multi-Disciplinary Institute of Technology, Inc. (MITInc) took its technology to Vegas during the recently concluded 10th International Technical Conference held at the South Point Hotel Casino and Spa in Las Vegas, Nevada, USA on April 15-16, 2023.
MITInc Chairman Dr. Ernesto S. De Castro and Engr. Christopher M. Vitug were one of the notable guests and resource persons invited to share their expertise and knowledge in the event hosted by the PICE USA and attended by more than 150 civil and structural engineers from various parts of the world.
With the theme, “Empowering Filipino Engineers Worldwide thru Sustainable Design and Optimization of Engineering Technology,” the event hopes to continuously work towards advancing the welfare and prestige of the civil engineering profession and keep pace with the latest innovations in the design, construction, and infrastructure monitoring of the built environment.
Dr. de Castro led the plenary technical sessions as he talked about the Filipino engineers of today and the future. He outlined the path that engineers should be taking with the advent of technological tools. Dr. De Castro emphasized the need to adapt with everything going into the digitalization phase.
Engr. Vitug, on the other hand, discussed the advantages of using an integrated project management information tool for project teams. He showcased the PIM345D platform which is an industry-based interactive platform addressing the requirements of ISO 19650. Further, Engr. Vitug explained that the platform uses cloud-based technology which allows users to access reliable data and information regarding the status of projects to come up with the necessary action in the shortest possible time.
